Arthur Clifton Salerno - Memorial

May 23, 1934 – September 22, 2024

Arthur Clifton Salerno, born on May 23, 1934, in Detroit, MI, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, at the age of 90. Arthur’s early years were shaped by the quiet strength of Lake Orion, where he was raised and where his roots would remain. It was there, among the rolling hills and calm waters, that he grew into the man his family
would cherish.

For six honorable years, Arthur served his country in the U.S. Navy, rising to the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. His service reflected the depth of his loyalty—not just to his country, but to those he loved. In 2018, he and his devoted wife, Vicci, embarked on a new chapter in Pompano Beach, FL, where they would spend his final years together, their love enduring the trials of time.

Arthur was predeceased by his beloved son, Glenn, whose memory he carried with quiet reverence. He is survived by Vicci, his loving wife of 64 years, whose unwavering companionship was his anchor; his daughter, Linda, and son-in-law, John, who adored him; and his grandsons, Jack and Benjamin, to whom he was a gentle guide, full of wisdom and tenderness.

Arthur’s life was one of quiet triumphs—a testament to duty, love, and faith. He was a man whose strength was felt in the quiet moments, whose love was expressed in acts of service, and whose faith in God sustained him through life’s trials.

A memorial service will be held on November 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 W Palmetto Park Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33486, to celebrate a life lived with grace and dignity. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Arthur’s memory by supporting the

As the last journey of this faithful disciple took him beyond the sunset, and as heaven’s morning broke, we can take comfort in the words of John Bunyan, that “all the trumpets sounded for him on the other side.”

Arthur’s memory will forever dwell in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will live on through the love he gave so freely.
